 Here at Teddy Bear Doctor, we pride ourselves on the
quality of teddy bear repair and restoration we give. We have treated many bears
whose owners thought they were far too worn and threadbare for anything
to be done, and brought them back to life again with fantastic results.
Before we begin to work on any teddy bear, we take
the time to carefully study the bear's character and personality, while
establishing its age and make. This attention to detail ensures that
the restoration will look authentic while retaining the charm of the
old teddy that was entrusted into our care.
As every teddy bear or soft toy is unique, we offer a free of charge,
no obligation estimate. We can do this by means of photographs, sent
via post or email. If a more detailed examination is required, we can
receive the bear by post. If you decide not to go ahead with the
restoration, we will only ask for the postage costs to safely return
your teddy bear or soft toy to you.
Our teddy bear repair and restorations are fully carried out by hand.
No glue or solvents are ever used. We only use materials that are
in keeping with the bear's age and make. Happily, many of the traditional
materials are still available today. New materials can be matched,
blended and aged to look just like the bear's original fur!
